European funding: Issues and strategies

EU funding from The Research for Small and Medium Enterprise (R4SME) initiative supports SMEs to solve common or complementary technological problems. These projects must be centred on the innovation needs of the SMEs and must demonstrate a clear exploitation potential for the SMEs concerned.

This talk will focus on the criteria used for a successful funding application and issues that individuals, research groups, and institutes need to consider.

The speaker, Dr. Giakas, is an Assistant Professor at the University of Thessaly and is a highly experienced researcher with >50 publications, >900 citations, and 10 successful EU funded research projects totalling >3,000,000 Euro.
