Get out your cameras… or pencils! Images of Research is back
Images of Research is back! So charge up your cameras, or dust off your sketchbooks, and come up with an image which captures the essence of your research in a visual, artistic or photographic way.
This years IoR will be a ‘gentle’ competition, where viewers can vote for their top three favourites – a people’s choice you might say! Entries for IoR 2014 must be submitted by November 6th 2014.
IoR 2014 is open to all researchers, including research students, research staff and supervisors. There are a few guidelines. Images must be unique photos or artwork having been photographed or created by the researcher. Photos must be a 4-5 megabyte jpeg or tif file. Along with the image, you need to email (to Simone Apel) a snappy title and a 150 word (max) summary paragraph. Please see the Images of Research 2014-15 for more guidelines and full details.
The UN Graduate School launched its first Images of Research last year (Images of research 2013 catalogue). The resulting 24 images delightfully and engagingly captured the range of UN research areas. Justin Lance, Head of Corporate Programmes (NBS), said “this is such a wonderfully simple, yet powerful, concept to showcase the diversity and flamboyance of research across the University.”
So if you are a UN researcher why not enter into Images of Research in 2014? If you have any questions please contact Simone in the Graduate School. Good luck!
