Publishing Academic Articles: A workshop by SRHE
SRHE, the Society of Research into Higher Education, has a training programme aimed at newer researchers; those who are studying for a doctorate and early career researchers.
On 12th November, Dr Karen Smith from the University of Greenwich and Ian White from publisher Routledge, Taylor and Francis will be running a workshop entitled “Publishing Academic Articles: A Way Through the Maze“. The workshop will be held at SRHE’s London headquarters in Collier Street.
An interactive session, the workshop will cover:
- the mechanics of getting published IN JOURNALS – covering preparation and research through to peer-review and post-publication
- How to choose the right journal in which to publish considering that there are now such a multitude
- Working with other people; gaining and using their feedback (collaborators, critical friends, reviewers)
- Identifying the differences between writing for journals and other forms of writing with which you may be more familiar
SRHE events are free to members, but there is a small charge of £60 for non-members.
