CFP: School of Science & Technology Research Conference – 2nd March
Submitted by Professor Jeff Ollerton for the attention of researchers in the School of Science and Technology
Last term you should have received an Outlook Calendar invitation to the School of Science & Technology Research Conference taking place on Wednesday 2nd March (13:00 to 17:00) in Newton Grand Hall. This is an opportunity for us to showcase the breadth and depth of research going on across all areas of the School, from both early career researchers and more senior academics.
At this stage I would like to invite you all to offer a talk on your research; this can include research already published, as well as unpublished and proposed activities. The invitation is also extended to postgraduate research students in the School, either to speak or to attend.
The format of each talk will be a 10 minute presentation (plus 5 minutes for questions) pitched at a broad, general science/technology audience (i.e. it should be understandable to everyone!)
Please send me a title for your talk, cc’d to science.admin@northampton.ac.uk, by Friday 19th February.
Given the forthcoming changes in the academic structure of the University, and our impending move to Waterside, is more important than ever for us to demonstrate the excellence and diversity of the research that is carried out in the School.
