School of Education – research seminar

The School of Education is hosting a research seminar led by Tanyongana Tarisai on Wednesday 27th April.

The seminar, entitled ‘ An analysis of how the cross-linguistic transfer of phonological and orthographic processing skills from Shona (L1) to English (L2) affect L2 spelling acquisition’ will consider pre- and post-colonial education, bilingualism as it affects spelling acquisition , phonological and orthographic processing skills, as well as spelling acquisition theories, spelling error typologies and their uses in pedagogical policy development.

The seminar will take place on Wednesday 27th April from 12:30-1:30  in S137.
