November events in the Faculty of Education and Humanities

November sees a number of seminars hosted by the School of Education. Topics covered include research ethics, phonics and young women’s experiences of teenage pregnancy, motherhood and education.

All are welcome to attend.

Dr Kay Brown – Positive Turning Points? Young Women’s Experiences of Teenage Pregnancy, Motherhood and Education. Tuesday 8th November, 12.30 – 1.30pm in K207.

Tanya Richardson – ‘Why haven’t I got one of those?’ How to consider ethics for children NOT included in research. Wednesday 16th November, 1.15-2pm in S008.

Hanne Janssen (University of Stavanger) – Perspectives on inclusion from Norwegian research. Thursday 24th November, 5-6pm in S010.

Gill Chambers – Primary Education, Policy into Practice and the influence of the phonics screening check. Monday 28th November, 5-6pm in S010.
