Call for posters extended to May 2nd! Graduate School Poster Competition 2018

The Graduate School would like to invite postgraduate researchers to submit an application to present a poster at the 13th Annual Poster Competition. The competition will be held on the morning of Tuesday 22nd May 2018 in the Dialog Cafe, ground floor of Rockingham Library, Park Campus. We are offering a first prize of £100, and two second prizes of £75 for the three winners.

The poster competition is a development opportunity for doctoral research students, who present their research on an A1 poster (note size restriction), that explains their research to a mixed audience of non-subject specialists. Students will stand by their posters and present it to the judges (5 mins verbal presentation by the student, 5 mins judges questions) and visitors to the competition. Judges will be picked from academic and non-academic staff, plus external visiting judges and posters will be scored on design, accessibility of content, verbal presentation and researcher engagement.

If you are a postgraduate researcher at UoN and are interested please read the Rules of Entry 2018 and submit the Entry form 2018 by May 2nd. You have until the day of the poster competition (May 22nd) to create and print your poster. To enter the competition you will need to be available from 10am on the 22nd May (to set up) and be present until 2pm. During the competition you will stand by your poster from 11am until 1pm to be judged. Prizes will be given out at 1:45pm.
