Come to the UON Annual Research Conference!

You are invited to attend the University of Northampton Annual Research Conference that will run online on June 27 and in person on June 28 2023.

The conference is critical to UON’s research environment and gives all involved the chance to share, showcase and develop research, as well as hearing and learning from others. It also presents an ideal opportunity to network with other researchers and share research experiences.

The conference will feature keynote speeches form Dr Naomi McLeod from Liverpool John Moores University where she teaches across Early Childhood and Education Studies and is the Deputy Coordinator for the CERES Research-informed Pedagogies Group, Dr Diane Boyd who is the Vice President of the Early Childhood Studies Degree Network through her role as Lead of the Sustainability Group, and Professor Kate Maguire from Middlesex University.

The programme will include:

  • Oral presentations in themed sessions (online on Tuesday 27th June, on campus on Wednesday 28th June): oral presentations that are 20 minutes long, with time allocated for questions after each presentation.
  • Symposium (online on Tuesday 27th June, on campus on Wednesday 28th June). This will be an hour-long session for a themed discussion on a topic. Each symposium will have one hour for their presentations.
  • Poster/infographic display (poster and infographic to be displayed online and on Campus on campus on Wednesday 28th June).

In addition to that, the conference will also have a workshop on narrative bid writing and a segment for Images of Research where the winner will be announced.
