Rob Hopkin is a live, big event, TV director. He is responsible for ‘Question Time’ and had masterminded Four BBC General Election Programmes. Hear him and meet him on the very day he does Question Time live from Corby!
Entry is free and open to all.
Postgraduate Research Symposium: Moulton College
Open to all staff from Moulton College and the University of Northampton, The Postgraduate Research Symposium will be held on Tuesday 18th December in M1 (Higher Education Centre, Main Site) from 2:30-5pm.
Papers include “The use of the aqua-treadmill in the rehabilitation of equine lameness”, “The use of linear boundary features by macro-moths in intensive agricultural landscapes”, “Behavioural ecology of harvest mice upon reintroduction to the wild” and much more.
Scientific writing and publishing workshop for researchers in the life sciences
19 November 2012 – 20 November 2012 at the University of Sussex, Falmer, Brighton
Vitae and Macmillan Science Communication (MSC) are running this intensive workshop to train life science researchers to prepare and publish high quality research papers in international, peer-reviewed journals.
Training is led by editors of Nature journals, covering the writing and publishing process from start to finish. Using short lectures punctuated by practical exercises and group discussions, the two day workshop will focus on the publishing issues that researchers face today.
Training runs from 10am – 6pm on the first day and 9am to 5pm on the second day. There will be a networking dinner and accommodation for those interested.
Cost £650 for 2-days, £750 inc overnight stay.

Northampton Business School researchers at IFSAM
The Northampton Business School was represented at the International Federation of Scholarly Associations of Management (IFSAM) 11th World Congress held at the University of Limerick, Ireland, 26th to the 29th of June 2012. The congress attracted four hundreds scholars from across the globe to engage in dialogue on the theme of “Management Re-Imagined”.
