Children and young people’s mental health: Improving outcomes, widening access and tackling stigma in an age of austerity
3-5 July, University of Northampton
Child and Adolescent Mental Health services face a range of challenges. With economic pressures being brought to bear across public services, Children’s Mental Health professionals are encouraged both to improve the quality and reach of their services, and to ensure the delivery of a cost effective, value for money service.
This 3 day conference aims to provide space for a discussion of how we might best respond, as professionals and as academics, working with children, young people and their families, to the complex demands made of us, in this age of austerity. Papers, posters, workshops, symposia and other contributions are invited that address issues relevant to CAMHS.
Invited keynotes are: Professor Sami Timimi, Professor Panos Vostanis, Professor Jane Barlow, Dr Anna Lavis, and Dr Fiona Warner Gale.
Conference documents:
The conference is being organised by the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Team (Dept of Psychology) and the Centre for Children and Youth, at the University of Northampton.
