Summer Events at the School of the Arts

Congratulations must first go to Associate Professor in English and Creative Writing Charles Bennett who has been confirmed a National Trust Writer-in-Residence at Wicken Fen. Moreover, continuing the good summer news we have some great research events, conferences and creative workshops lined up at the School of the Arts:
27 May 2014 – Professor Edmund White (Head of Creative Writing, Princeton University) – ‘My Life in Creative Writing’ (Newton Grand Hall, Avenue Campus, 2.30 pm).
29 May 2014 – Alan Smith, Professor Kit Givan and Alistair Fruish (Writers-in-Prison Network and author of ‘Kiss My Asbo’) – ‘Three Approaches to Creative Writing’ (The Boardroom, Avenue Campus, 11am-1pm).
4 June 2014 – Readers Lecture: Dr Craig Staff, ‘The Nothing That Is: Further Adventures with the Monochrome’ (The Boardroom, Avenue Campus, 5pm).
6-7 June 2014 – Conference: Pop Life: The Value of Music in the Twenty First Century (Avenue Campus, The University of Northampton).
10 June 2014 – Research Seminar: Dr Gerri Kimber, ‘Katherine Mansfield and Aldous Huxley: Friends and Enemies’ (The Boardroom, Avenue Campus, 2pm)
17 June 2014 – Research Seminar: Dr Renate Braeuninger, ‘Between score and work, Anna Teresa de Keersmaeker and the publication of her choreographic scores’ (The Boardroom, Avenue Campus, 3pm). PLEASE NOTE THE CHANGE OF DATE FOR THIS SEMINAR, IT WAS ORIGINALLY ADVERTISED FOR 26TH JUNE BUT WILL NOW BE HAPPENING ON 17TH JUNE.
25 June 2014 – Joint School of the Arts and Education Research Seminar: Dr Coomi Vevaina (The University of Mumbai), ‘Developing Source Full Intelligence in Educators’ (Room: Sulgrave 010, Park Campus, The University of Northampton, 5pm).
