‘The Collaborative Researcher’: A two day workshop at the OU
On January 21st and 22nd 2015, on their campus in Milton Keynes, the Open University are holding an intensive 2-day workshop to help researchers develop collaboration skills .
The course is open to research staff and final year PhD/doctoral students and will look at the building blocks of the collaborative style of research: inclusive communication, cultural awareness, robust planning, negotiation and the ability to work effectively with others.
Places are free and all you need to cover are your travel expenses and any overnight accommodation (if required). The course will be attended by up to 30 researchers from across the country, from different disciplines and career stages. It is led by a team of experienced facilitators who work with participants throughout the 2 days to support learning.
