Access to Understanding science writing competition 2015
The British Library, eLife and Europe PMC have just announced the latest round of ‘Access to Understanding’, a science writing competition for PhD students and early career post-doctoral researchers who are interested in promoting understanding of biomedical research.
What you have to do: write a plain English summary of one of 12 published research articles (all are available from Europe PMC). You’ll need to explain the research and why it matters to a general reader.
What you can win: the winning entry will be published by eLife and the winner will also receive an iPad. There are good prizes for second and third places too.
To find out more, check out the Access to Understanding web page.
