Free OU workshop for part-time research students
On 22nd June the Open University in Milton Keynes are running a Part-Time Researcher workshop for doctoral students who are close to completing their thesis. This free, day-long event is open to all part-time research students within London and the Midlands.
The aims of the workshop are twofold. Firstly, to support part-time researchers who are nearing the end of their period of study. Secondly, by sharing social time and informal discussions over lunch and during break times, we hope to foster collaboration, informal networks and the sharing of experience which are all helpful in sustaining enthusiasm and focus during the final stages of your research. Students usually find this aspect of the workshop a real boost to motivation.
The workshop will cover:
- Editing and finishing your thesis
- Preparing for your viva
- Careers inside and outside of academia
- Publishing your work
Please see the attachment, which contains further information and full booking details.
