School of the Arts research events for Autumn 2015
The School of the Arts announces its research seminars and events for autumn 2015, with a strong line-up of unique conferences, lectures and engaging seminar discussions with noted researchers and scholars. All Seminars will be held in room MR34 at 2.15pm unless otherwise stated. There will be refreshments and biscuits. All SOTA staff and students are welcome to attend.
Friday 9th – Saturday 10th October: The Brigid Brophy Anniversary Conference (Venue: MY120).
Wednesday 28th October: Dr Lorna Piatti-Farnell (Auckland Institute of Technology), ‘It Eats You from Within, and Without: Food and (Cultural) Horror in Film’
Wednesday 18th November: Mattias Fyhr (Jönköping University, Sweden). ‘H.P. Lovecraft, Modernism and Occultism’ (Venue: MR10)
Also note (details to be confirmed):
Wednesday 16th December: Teaching Symposium (2-5pm); Annual John Clare Memorial Lecture (6pm)
