Part-Time Researcher programme for PGRs running on May 25th 2017
If you are a Postgraduate Research Student studying part-time then you might be interested in the Part-Time Researcher Development Day The Graduate School are running on Thursday 25th May, in collaboration with the University of Leicester.
Originally developed through Vitae, the Programme is a day-long series of discussions and workshops, offering part-time research students the time and space to share and discuss issues which directly affect their research degree study.
During the day there will be a number of development sessions, which will include how to get the best from your supervisor at a distance and part-time and a workshop on time, productivity and motivation management. A facilitated discussion on the ethos and problems of part-time research will be tackled through the day, with a problem solving session later on. Additionally, the programme offers a valuable opportunity for students to meet and chat with fellow part-timers to share experiences and solutions.
The programme will be advertised to all part-time research students from the regional Midlands Universities. For more information and to book a place see the Eventbrite booking page. For more information please contact Simone Apel from The Graduate School.
