Santander Universities Entrepreneurship Awards
The Santander Universities Entrepreneurship Awards are a fantastic opportunity for current students and graduates who are looking to secure investment for their projects. Santander will be making an award of £5,000 for the winner of the undergraduate award, and £20,000 for the winner of the postgraduate award, together with smaller prizes for second and third places. The competition is open to current students or alumni who have graduated within the last 2 years. Applicants can be individuals or groups, and will need to prepare a business plan. The University will put forward the best entry in each category for Santander to consider.

Research students: £500 bursary on offer!

A project funded by the Institute of Learning and Teaching called ‘MASHABLE: MA Skills in History through Blended Learning’ presents an opportunity for a student researcher to earn a £500 bursary.
The project is running until 1 July 2014 and explores how ‘face to face’ and ‘distance’ methods can best be combined in postgraduate-level History.

Santander Universities Entrepreneurship Awards – Deadline 22 March 2013
The Santander Universities Entrepreneurship Awards for 2013 offer a fantastic opportunity for students and graduates. The aim of the awards is to offer increased support in the form of funding for young entrepreneurs who have either recently graduated from or who are still studying at Santander Partner Universities. As well as providing cash investment to assist with ideas and business, the winners will also receive valuable press coverage through the recognition received from this initiative.

Funding opportunity: British Federation for Women Graduates’ Fund for Women Graduates
British Federation of Women Graduates, Foundation Grants
The British Federation for Women Graduates’ Fund for Women Graduates invites applications for its foundation grants. These help women graduates with their living expenses while registered for study or research at an approved institution of higher education in Great Britain.
Women from Britain and overseas are eligible to apply; there is no upper age limit. Any subject or field of study will be considered.
Grants will not normally exceed £6,000, and contribute towards the living expenses of one year’s academic study or research.
