SOTA announces workshops with the Research and Strategic Bidding Office

Karen Lewis and Helen Backhouse from the Research and Strategic Bidding Office will be coming to the School of the Arts to run two sessions to help facilitate grant finding and bid writing in the School of the Arts.



(3pm – 5pm, Newton 041)

Karen and Helen will meet individually with researchers for 15 minutes to assist with personalising your settings on Grantfinder.  This will mean that Grantfinder will send you the right email bulletins which are most relevant to you and your research.

29th October 2014 – BID WRITING WORKSHOP

(11am-1pm, MR10)

A bid-writing session with Helen, where the emphasis is on work-shopping and receiving peer feedback on bids that have just been started or are already in progress.

You need to have identified a project and funder to participate in this workshop, although you can be at the very early stages of bid-writing. There will be a maximum of fifteen places available.  To book a place, please email:

Dr Larissa Allwork worked at the University of Northampton School of the Arts (May 2012 - August 2015). She also participated in Professor Janet Wilson's EU-Marie Curie funded Constructions of Home and Belonging ITN. She continues to be affiliated to Dr Sonya Andermahr's Working Group for Interdisciplinary Research in Trauma, Narrative and Performance.
