Workshop: Finding Resources on the Web

Graduate School WorkshopsNick Dimmock, Research Information Specialist in Research Support, LLS, will be running “Finding Resources on the Web” on Thursday, 30 October 2014 from 11:00 to 13:00 in the TPod, Rockingham Library, Park Campus.

Open to all research students and early career researchers, the workshop will focus on ways to ensure the information you find is useful and usable.

The workshop will look at effective ways of searching for various types of information of interest to researchers, from research papers and images to government information and datasets, using a variety of online tools and services. It will also cover finding and using Creative Commons content – information and materials you can freely build on or integrate into your own research.
