Call for contributors to the Graduate School Blog

As part of the UoN Graduate School’s various initiatives to encourage and promote an enhanced sense of belonging of all PGR students to our UoN PGR community, we would like to expand further contributions by all PGRs to the Graduate School Blog.

As part of this process, we would very much like all PGRs to contribute blog items discussing their experiences as PGRs at the university. To achieve this, we are seeking volunteers to write blogs about their experience as PGR students at (a) PGR Induction and (b) throughout their PGR studies at university. In particular, we are seeking contributors to the following three blog categories:

  • Category 1 – PGR Induction Experiences:
    • 500 words about your experience at PGR Induction: how it changed you or your perspective on your PGR studies, how you found it, etc.
  • Category 2 – PGR Experience Charting Progress Through PGR Studies:
    • 500 words every semester about your ongoing PGR experience charting your progress and experience as you advance through the various initial, middle, and final stages of your PGR studies: e.g. how difficult each stage is, what specific issues you encountered at each stage, etc.
  • Category 3 – PGR Experience Topics and Themes:
    • 500 words about any aspect of your PGR life or experience to be sent at any time throughout your PGR studies, focusing on any relevant theme or topic that you find meaningful to, or that impacts on, your PGR studies: e.g. becoming a PGR student, balancing your personal life with being a PGR, etc.

Please do let your supervisors and Research Centre know about your blog entry, and where possible, involve your supervisors in it. With this, our aim is to encourage collaboration between all members of the UON research community.

Please do send your expressions of interest to contribute to any of the above categories, including your blog entries for publication on the Graduate School Blog to Lina El-azhab.

We look forward to hearing from you and seeing you participate actively in our UoN PGR Community.
