Postgrad Teaching Assistant Opportunities in The International School of Moscow

The International School of Moscow is looking for post graduates who might be interested in a gap year experience as Teaching Assistants at our school. We would like to advertise the opportunities we are offering among the students of your institution, who might be particularly interested in living and working in Moscow. The International School of Moscow is a member of the British Schools Foundation, an organisation with schools in Beijing, Nanjing, Guangzhou, Moscow, Kuala Lumpur, Spain and Brazil whose aim is to offer an excellent standard of British education to International students. We are seeking to recruit teaching assistants who are native English speakers, with recent experience of education in the UK, who have a strong academic background and are able to offer enthusiasm and commitment to our school. We also encourage students with particular strengths in languages and music to apply as these are key areas for development within the school. PGR Induction week: Small but perfectly formed!

Workshop – Open Access: the implications for your research
If you are a researcher, whether a research student or research staff, it is important that you understand the implication of open access, where research papers are made freely available online, rather than published in high-cost subscription journals. The Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE) announced last year that all post April-2016 UK research must be open access in order to qualify for funding assessments.
In the light of this, Dr Miggie Pickton and Nick Dimmock from LLS are holding a 2 hour workshop on Open Access on Thursday, 12 March from 15:00 to 17:00 in the TPod, Rockingham Library, Park Campus. Cumberland Lodge Scholarship – Opportunity for PhD researchers
Canon Dr Edmund Newell, Principal of Cumberland Lodge, invites doctoral students from The University of Northampton to apply to become Cumberland Lodge Scholars.
Launched in 2014, the Cumberland Lodge Scholarship scheme provides 1st or 2nd year doctoral students with the opportunity to take part in our conference programme over a two year period, receiving training and gaining experience in communication, public engagement, interdisciplinary collaboration, and networking.

Academy scholarship competition for full time research students
The Institute of Ideas Academy is back – a residential weekend retreat which is unashamedly intellectual. From Friday 17th July to Monday 20th July, in the countryside of Bedfordshire, you get the chance to discuss The Public Throughout History, from the Greek and Roman Republics to the more complex, mobile, global publics of the present day.
For the fourth year, The Institute of Ideas will be running the Academy Scholarship Programme for full time students of ANY academic discipline. PGR Student Poster Competition 2015: Call for entries
Are you a UN Postgraduate Research student, registered on one of our research degree programmes? If so, you may be interested to know that the Graduate School are holding their 10th Annual Poster Competition on Wednesday 13th May 2015, so why not take part? We are offering a first prize of £100, and two second prizes of £75 and it’s an excellent opportunity for you to illustrate and discuss your research. 2015 ABTA Doctoral Researcher Awards
ABTA (the Association of British Turkish Academics) announces its 2015 Doctoral Researcher Awards to promote and reward academic and scientific excellence among researchers pursuing doctoral degrees in the UK. The competition is open to all research students regardless of their nationality and there are prizes from £200 up to £400. The deadline for applications is 5pm on Monday 30th March.
