All invited to Transfer Seminar on May 5th at 12 noon.
Nicola Smithers (Senior Lecturer in Law) is presenting her Transfer seminar on May 5th at 12 noon in Naseby 24, Park Campus. The seminar is open to all University research students and staff.
Nicola’s title is: ‘The Legal, Ethical and Clinical Justifications for Withholding and Withdrawing Treatment from Critically Ill Neonates’. She would welcome all feedback on her project and work so far, so if you would like to attend please confirm your attendance with John Horton.

Transfer seminar on aviation security
Calling research staff and students! You are invited to the transfer seminar of one of our research students, Paul McFarlane, in Northampton Business School.
Paul’s seminar is entitled “Aviation security as a self-organised critical phenomenon” and it takes place tomorrow (Weds 1st July) at 2pm in Cottesbrooke C227, Park Campus.
Transfer Seminar invitation: 3rd June
Jacquie Ridge, PhD student in the School of Health, is presenting her Transfer Seminar on Wednesday, 3rd June at 9:30am – 11:30am. The seminar is entitled “Saving lives and saving money: investigating the professional identity of adult nursing” and will be held in Room 202, Kelmarsh, Park Campus. All welcome.
Seminar overview: Professional identity in adult nursing is a complex concept lacking clear definition. A struggle for recognition is occurring concurrently with dramatic changes within healthcare, its education, workforce and provision. By investigating construction and sustainability of professional identity in adult nursing with those currently undertaking their nurse education, this study offers an opportunity to discover an authentic way of knowing this evolving profession to inform its future development. Jessica York’s Transfer Seminar: Equine Aqua-Treadmills
Jessica York, PhD research student at UN, would like to invite research staff and students to her Transfer Seminar “The Use of the Aqua-Treadmill in Equine Rehabilitation and Training“.
Jessica’s seminar will take place on Wednesday 19th November 2014 from 9:00 – 10:00am in M2, HE Block, Main Site (Gate 2), Moulton College.
The seminar will give an insight into ongoing research in the area of Equine Aqua-Treadmills and aims to specifically investigate the movement of the horse on the aqua-treadmill at increasing water depths in order to identify constructive, specific and controlled therapeutic rehabilitation and exercise.
